The Enchanted Forest

Where nothing is what it seems & anything may happen!
Commissioned by the Yorkshire Sculpture Park for Spring 2008
An interactive environment which integrates children’s theatre & drop in workshops. Available to schools & other organisations.
Wearing noble attire children bravely enter the mysterious & shadowy realm of the ‘Enchanted Forest’ where all living things have been frozen in a spell of perpetual winter.
Our quest, as in medieval tales of enchantment & valour, is to drive out the Shadowmancer & his familiar, the dark crow who steals all that is bright. 

Each child makes a magical orb of light to carry into the woods to help revive the sun & the seasons' cycle. 
The dark forest is transformed into a green and colourful glade where the Green Man comes back to life and joins the children processing into the open air and waving banners in jubilation.
