Dome d’Ombre combine art installation with visual theatre and puppetry to create magical realms of the imagination accessible to all ages. Our name derives from the portable dome in and around which our many and varied skills originally converged to devise and perform shadow theatre 'in the round'. Light and shadow, sound and animation transform simple objects and materials into the beautiful and curious by which discoveries are made and a tale or journey unfolds. Space, atmosphere and how individuals encounter our work is important to us. We encourage young and new audiences to actively engage with creative ideas and their surroundings through our site sensitive performances and installations. |
