Spells of Creation

Commissioned by Scarborough Festival of Light 2005 Revived for Musicport World Music Festival 2006 with guest artist Dave Moss - music and Mike Knight - digital projections.

A collective response to a poem by Kathleen Raine in which elements of the natural world combine, mutate and transform. This echoes are own collaborative process in which our various skills and interests cross-fertilise & reconfigure. The result was a montage of shadow imagery & digital projection, puppetry & dance, live music & sampled voice, all converging around the dome & encompassing the audience within.
